Description
Our used green bean coffee sacks are up for grabs at £2 each, and 100% of the money raised goes to charity.
Every sack of green coffee that comes into our Filey roastery arrives in a hessian coffee sack, and once it’s empty we’d rather it went on to a second life than into landfill.
They’re genuine sacks straight from the roastery, printed with the marks of the farms and co-operatives our coffee comes from – Brazil, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Colombia, Peru and wherever else we’ve been roasting from that month.
Take one home for crafts, gardening, storage, upholstery, rustic wedding and event décor, dog beds, or just as a bit of coffee-world character on the wall.
Where The Money From Our Coffee Sacks Goes
Every penny from sack sales is donated to our chosen charities, all supporting the coffee-growing communities our beans come from:
– Grounds for Health – providing access to life-saving healthcare for women in coffee-growing communities, including cervical cancer screening and treatment.
– Project Waterfall – working to bring clean water and sanitation to coffee-growing communities, helping improve health, education and opportunities for families.

Ideas For Using A Hessian Coffee Sack
Hessian is tough, breathable and looks the part, which is why coffee sacks get reused for so many things. Gardeners use them to protect plants from frost, line hanging baskets, store potatoes and onions, or lay them down as a natural weed barrier. Crafters cut them up for cushion covers, bunting, tote bags and upholstery. They’re a favourite for rustic wedding and festival décor, sack races at school fairs, and lining a dog bed. Or just frame one: the printed origin marks make a decent bit of wall art for anyone who loves their coffee.
Good To Know
Sacks are used and sold as they come: designs, colours and origin markings vary, and we can’t pick a particular one for you.
Expect a little coffee dust, the odd stray bean and some marks from the journey – that’s the character.
Give it a shake outside before it comes indoors.
